75th Anniversary of forming PIB - 20 June 2015

This service was held in conjunction with the Kokoda Day Ceremony held at Cascade Gardens, Broadbeach, on the Gold Coast. It was the Papuan Infantry Battalion that was involved in the first contact with the Japanese after their landing at Buna to take Pt Moresby via the Kokoda track. It was attended by 14 Assn members and President Phil Ainsworth laid a wreath on behalf of the Assn.
