Formal Dining Night, United Services Club, Brisbane, 2002.
52 members and guests enjoyed what has been one of our best Regimental Dinners to date on Sat 27 April at the United Services Club, Brisbane.
Our special guests included the Federal Member, Mr Gary Hardgrave, MP., and the PNG Consul-General for Queensland, Mr Henry Koiaie and Mrs Koiaie.
Pre dinner drinks were available in one of the Club's reception areas. At 1900 hrs Mr Dining Vice, S/Sgt Barry Wright, summoned the members and guests into the private ante-room for the traditional pre-dinner sherry. With military precision the members and guests moved into the dining room at 1930 hrs and remained standing whilst the official party, led by Col Harry Green MBE. ED, escorting his daughter Nicola Green, moved to the top table. The Regimental Flag, the Australian Flag and the PNG Flag were piped into the room to commenced the evening formalities.

After the dinner and the Head Table and Senior Officers left S/Sgt Barry Wright in charge of the" Kangaroo Court", John Holland was presented with his badge for his efforts in organising an NGVR/PNGVR display in Brisbane earlier that year.
